Rebellious is what definitely a word that I would describe my eating habits for the last couple of days. I have just been so down about this entire weight loss thing. I think back to when I used to weigh only 135 and now I would have to lose like..well I am not going to say, but a lot of weight. I feel like people are constantly staring at me. I see them stare at my arms and my stomach. It is just isn't encouraging at all. I am fitting into some clothes better, but others I am not and that gets me down too. I know that losing weight isn't something that happens over night, but I can't help but want it to be that way. I don't know sometimes I feel like just giving up, but I know that it isn't really in me to completely give up.
I see these people that just had babies and I am like gosh I am still so fat and it has been six months. It is like please don't look at me because this is so embarrassing. I don't know...
I can't even tell you what I ate over the last four days since I blogged. It wasn't great, but not completely horrible either. I get most of my workouts in, but not all of them.
I weighed myself on this morning and I had lost a pound. So, I have lost four total. Not that great, but I guess at least it is something.

Today I finally got over myself. I went to the gym lifted and then did ten minutes on the elipictal because the treadmills were taken up. Then someone got off the treadmill and I ran on there for ten minutes. It felt good to run.

Still feeling crappy about gaining a pound today. I didn't write anything down that I ate because I was being stubborn and was quite grumpy.

This week was not a good week. I gained a pound. I felt really great all week too and then I got on the scale and saw that. So, what did I do? I ate like crap all day. I am so such an emotional eater!

Today I ate fairly well and I did all three levels of the cardio workout from my Biggest Loser dvd.

This morning I woke up and went on a run. It was a very long one because it was super windy out. Probably about a mile and half. I stopped twice and only walked about a block and half each time. Running outside is so different. On the treadmill I do ten minutes and I am breathing hard, but I feel like I could totally keep going. But, today I was like oh my gosh I am so winded. I think my main thing is that I don't stretch very much before I go out and then my legs just feel so heavy. So, I definitely need to work on that. I also worked in the yard today and I know that burns some calories. I remember reading somewhere the exact amount, but now I can't remember.

Today I didn't get into the gym to lift. By the time I got my hair done it was well into the afternoon. Plus I wanted to enjoy the nice weather that we were having since it is so rare. I did go on a walk with Matt, but I didn't feel like I really did anything. We went out to dinner and I did well with eating again.
Breakfast: Eggs/cereal
Snack: protein bar
Lunch: left over pasta
Snack: string cheese

It has been too cold to go running. Well I could tough it out, but I don't want to take Greg out with the weather shield again. I feel so bad for him in there although I don't think he minds. I just did my dvd tape again. I have worked up to the second level and probably could do the third. I didn't get home today until about 5:30 pm and so I was really unmotivated to workout.
Breakfast: Eggs/toast
Snack: String cheese/apple
Lunch: Tuna fish and crackers
Snack: didn't get one in

This week doesn't look good for me. Today I had hard time eating all of my meals. It wasn't like I was trying to not eat them. I just got busy and then before I knew it was either time for lunch or dinner! I did manage to get to the gym though. Ran ten minutes, which is over a mile for me now. I was trying to get my mile time under ten minutes. Then I also lifted.

I can't believe that it has already been two weeks since I have started. It doesn't feel like it and I am surprised that I am still sticking with it. Usually I do well for about a week and then it goes south.
I am starting to feel a little bit skinner and I am starting to feel it in my abs. It is amazing what pregnancy does to your body. I feel like my abs are never going to get back to where they were. I have the magazine Fitness and it has three moves that are supposed to help with "mummy tummy" that is what they called it caused by pregnancy. I did them last night and this morning I could feel it. It really works deep into your core. Hopefully by the time this program is done my abs will be stronger.
I weighed myself this morning and I lost a pound this week. I think going overboard last week didn't help because I am sure I gained some weight back.
Today I have been doing *okay*. I had a good breakfast and snack. For lunch I had a piece of cheese pizza and a few fries. But, I don't feel like I over ate. Tonight for dinner we are having Tequila lime chicken and jasmine rice. So, I just need to watch my portions.
Week 2 Stats:
Weight loss: 1 pound
Eating: Didn't miss a meal and didn't cheat
Workouts: Didn't miss any this week

My morning class..my only class for the day was cancelled! It is funny how we get excited because I am basically paying to miss the class. Anyways, it was nice to have a full day home and have a four day weekend.
I dropped Greg off at my mom's and I went to the gym. I lifted arms today. I was supposed to do my legs, but I didn't feel like I really worked my arms the other day. So, I lifted and I am starting to use heavier dumbbells. After I was done I got on the treadmill for ten minutes and ran a mile. I really love doing cardio.
Breakfast: Bran cereal & egg sub.
Snack: Myoplex lite bar

I am a few days behind on posting! Tuesday was my lift day for my upper-body. I thought I would give the power sculpt dvd a try from the Biggest Loser. It was okay. I didn't really feel like I was getting a good workout, but I didn't have a vast range of dumbbell weights either. So, that could have played a role. I also did the cardio one this morning.

Today I got back on track with my workouts and eating. Matt and I did the cardio tape together. We added the second level on to it and that was quite a workout. We both came to the conclusion that the workouts on the tape are way harder than just going out and running.

Free day! My intentions were to not go overboard, but I did on accident. We went out to lunch and I had eggs benedict..one of my favorite breakfast dishes. Matt and I decided to go out to dinner just him and I because we needed sometime for just us. Mom and dad watched Greg. We dropped him off around three and we went home to take a nap. We slept for two hours, but it was much needed on both of our parts. At dinner I had fish, but I still feel like I went overboard.
I weighed myself this morning and I have lost two pounds this week! I know I can't expect to lose five pounds or something, but I was happy with that number. I sound like I am on biggest loser! Love that show..and it is almost over!
Week One Stats:
Weight loss: two pounds
Eating: Consistent...two mishaps..cookie dough and coffee
Workouts: Missed two

Today was another rough day. Greg was up all night..literally. I got about a half an hour of sleep. I think that his ear infection must of hit its peak or something. So, today I was extremely exhausted. I did good on my eating, but I did end up having a coffee of from starbucks, but I had it non-fat and sugar free. I didn't workout today though. I missed two workouts this week and feel horrible about it. I did some ab stuff, but that was it.

Today was a horrible day! Greg was just fussy all day and not wanting to eat. The doctor's office still never called me back. So around 5 I ended up going to the ER with him to get his ears checked out. He didn't have a fever, but sure enough he has another ear infection in his left ear. I actually got in and out of there quickly for it being our ER and was able to get his medication before the pharmacy closed at Wal-Mart. Hopefully he will sleep a little better tonight. Last night he didn't sleep hardly at all. With that being said I didn't get a chance to do my cardio workout today. So, now I feel like a complete failure. But, my eating was still all on target today so at least I didn't mess with that. I think I may run tomorrow since I am going to lift upper-body.

It is amazing how much better I feel after only four days of eating healthy. I was telling my mom today on our walk that I just don't feel swollen or bloated anymore. I know I haven't lost a ton of pounds yet, but I feel like I have. I really think that it has to do with the fact that I have cut sugar out of my eating. Today I lifted my legs. I did half the workout at the gym, but finished at home. I went at the wrong time and the football team was in there. They weren't using the machines, so I got in there to do what I needed to do and then got out. I can do my calf raises at home with my dumbbell weights. After I was done lifting my mom wanted to go on a walk and so I went. However she then decided that we should try and run a little bit. That was fine except I had already lifted and my legs were dead! But, I want to support my mom so I did it. It felt good to run. We ran for five minutes and then would walk for two or three. Towards the end we just walked the rest of the way. While we were running I was thinking back to seven years ago and how I would have never imagined my mom and I running together. I am thankful that we can share that together and support one another. It was a beautiful day here in La Grande. It felt like it was 70 degrees even though it was more like 60.
I do have a confession to make in my eating journal. I did snag a bite of cookie dough. I know I am awful. It was small very small and I felt so guilty afterwards. I almost wasn't going to write about it, but then I wouldn't be helping myself.
Breakfast: Bran cereal & 1/2 cup egg sub.
Snack: Myoplex lite bar& four dried apricots
Lunch: 1 cup chicken pasta salad& 2 hard boiled eggs
Snack: Myoplex lite shake

Today was a tougher day for me. Instead of running I went on a walk with my mom and Greg. But, it was about a five mile walk with a lot of hills and I was definitely feeling it. It was hard pushing that stroller up the hills, at one point I was thinking that I was going to pass out:) My eating was right on today except for dinner time. I haven't been feeling well after our walk and so I didn't really eat a whole lot. I had a mypolex lite shake and two eggs. But, I am still feeling like I may throw up. I hope that I don't!
This morning was difficult because I wanted to weigh myself really bad. That is one thing that I am bad about obsessing over is weighing myself. I always do everyone morning before I shower. Such a bad habit. I told myself that I would only weight myself every week for right now. Hopefully I can overcome that and it won't be such a huge thing for me.

I am sore today, especially in my butt and legs:) But, it is a good feeling to be sore. I didn't get my workout in until this afternoon. My mom watched Greg for a half hour or so while I went up to the gym at the school and lifted. I was never a big lifter before, but I am beginning to really like it. I like knowing that I am building muscle. It was good timing today at the gym because when I got there no one was in there, which is always nice. Right as I was leaving the football team was coming in. Glad I left then. I really don't like being in there when they are there. They all stare at you and laugh because I am hardly lifting anything:) But, I guess that doesn't make them much of a person if they are going to laugh at a girl right? I started to crave some sweets today, but did well and powered through it. Having fresh fruit as a snack seems to really help.

Well besides being up all night with Greg. I am felt pretty good today. I worked out this afternoon to the Biggest Loser Cardio Max dvd. It is a pretty intense workout and follows the Body For Life intensity part for the workouts. I know that I will be definitely feeling it tomorrow. I haven't had any cravings yet. I know that my biggest thing to conquer will be the sweet tooth cravings I have in the evenings.
Breakfast: Eggs and Toast
Snack: Apples and string cheese
Lunch: Turkey sandwich

A fresh start
I had a baby five months ago. My goal was to start working out as soon as the doctor said that it was okay. Well that day came and now it is long gone. I did attempt at one point to go to the gym and did fairly well for a few weeks. My eating is poor...beyond poor. I know that my body will never be the same after having Greg, but I do want to get back into shape.
It is hard watching other people look you up and down to see how you look. You can all say that you don't, but I have seen it. I feel that secretly some people are glad when they see that I haven't lost all the weight or to hear about when I talk about it. But instead of getting down about I just have to remember that some day they will be there too and then they will really understand.
With that being said I am going to start the Body For Life program. I am tired of looking at myself and ready to get back into shape and really be serious about it. I know that it isn't going to be easy and that is part of the reason that I am doing this blog. Hopefully this will keep me accountable for the eighty four days and also encourage other mom's who have are wanting to lose the rest of that baby weight.
Here are my goals:
* Lose ten pounds
* Gain muscle and work on toning my arms
* Be able to wear a swimsuit this summer and feel good in it
* Wear my pre-pregnancy clothes and not feel "fat" in them
* Blog everyday about what I ate and my workout
